I sort of understand, anon. I always liked Pistorius and find him attractive.

I'd like him to be innocent...but that being said: if he did it, he should rot in jail.

There is no if. He killed her. All that remains to be determined is culpability. And even if he is found to have killed her accidentally, he still has a history of domestic abuse and general dickishness under his belt.

I didn't actually follow the case so closely...so the evidence against him is conclusive at this point?

I've heard that evidence was tampered with, but I'm pretty sure the guy admitted to killing her, though he said he thought he was shooting an intruder.

Such a shame too, she looked like such a nice, lovely young woman from the pictures I've seen.

A lot of people find his story very suspect. According to him, he came in from a late night cigarette and heard someone in the bathroom. Afraid at the prospect of facing an intruder without his legs on, he went for his gun and fired through the door.

Considering that a) he lives a gated community, b) he knew full well that he wasn't the only person in the house at the time, c) in order to get his gun, he had to go into the bedroom where Reeva was obviously not in bed and d) he by his own account didn't try to determine the identity of the person in his bathroom before firing, I'm inclined to think of it as negligent homicide at the very least.

It didn't hit me until this comment, but the wording of the secret is kinda creepy. Not "I hope he's innocent" but "I hope he's found not guilty." Not "He's too sexy to be a murderer" but "He's too sexy to be convicted." Like the secret-maker doesn't care so much about whether Pistorius murdered a woman in cold blood or not, just as long as he gets off. :|

Yes, exactly: the way I read it OP doesn't care if he's guilty, as long as he's not convicted.
