I get that, but it's still pretty poorly executed and ridiculous. I mean, no. That's not a good scene. It's not as ridiculous as people make it out to be but it's still ridiculous and over the top and strange.

+1 The scene MIGHT have worked if the acting and writing was even one bit stronger in other scenes, but it really just came off as badly as all the rest of the acting in the game so people are allowed to find it awkward.

So, basically, acting fake in-character and bad acting are the same thing?

Anyway I played this game as an undub and found the experience much more tolerable. (Embarrassingly, I kind of even maybe sort of liked the characters.)

How can you say it wasn't poorly made (in whatever way) if you acknowledge at the same time that too many people were not getting it? (I'm assuming that's the reason why you capslocked and underlined your secret)
Embarassment/annoyance instead of pity is not a good way to miss the mark.
