eh, I don't think it would necessarily be more *interesting* from Hermione's perspective, but it would certainly be more balanced. The most "magical" part of the series is, though, the wish-fulfillment-fantasy of a lonely/disliked boy suddenly being rich, popular, and powerful.

That always seemed the weakest part of it to me. It is so cliche and overdone. Even for the 90s, lonely kid gets to be superhero was played to death and entirely mockable.

Harry was the chosen one, yeah, but Hermione was the one who chose to rise up on her own. Her story is much more powerful.
