Except it wasn't sweet, it was a massive dick move. I can sort of handwave it by saying it was teaching the same lesson to Slytherins that Snape had been teaching every other house; that some people are just capricious dicks that will treat your work with malicious contempt so learn to live with it. Except that to have that work then you have to accept Dumbledore as just as big a dick as Snape, only more deceitful about it.

Not that I begrudge Harry getting a reward since defeating the dark lord yet again probably deserves more than a box of jelly beans, and Harry is the type to regard rewarding the entire house as being better than individual rewards, but the way it was done just stinks. The last minute switcheroo was awful.
