Meh. I don't mind Knockout and sometimes he's entertaining, but I don't really get why fandom has such a huge boner for him. He's far from my favorite.

Nono, he's DIFFERENT from the other Decepticons. He cared about one bot other than himself, thus he's a good guy. Didn't you read that secret a week or two ago?

I must have missed that one, but that's silly. Lots of Decepticons care about one other bot. It seems to be built into their culture to form really intense one-on-one bonds instead of being loyal to a central leader or the faction as a whole.

Oh, I mostly agree and said as much in my reply to that secret. I was kind of mocking the idea. >_> (May not have been the secret itself, but rather a reply to it. The secret was about how the OP was disappointed that Knock Out didn't respond more to Breakdown's death on screen.)

(I don't know that loyalty to the leader or the faction is particularly rare - Soundwave seems to have a personal loyalty to Megs (he and the Vehicons are definitely loyal to the faction), and Skyquake and Dreadwing definitely did. But yeah, it's not the only loyalty any 'Con has to anybody but his or her own self.)

Haha, don't worry, your position came through :)

Even with Cons that are truly loyal to Megatron, I get a different vibe from it than from loyal Autobots. I know a lot more about G1 than Prime, and that might be showing here, but when a Con is loyal to Megatron, it seems like it's an intimate, personal thing. They tend to get jealous if he favors someone else. When an Autobot is loyal to Optimus, it's sort of generalized. They assume that everyone's loyal to Optimus, and that's how they want it to be.

I think he's the only decent Decepticon character left beside Soundwave, but hey, to each their own. I mean, I can't stand Ratchet, even if he's probably the only decent Autobot character left period.

That's weird, I do think Knockout is the only GOOD original idea from TFP. The rest of the series is just meh/mostly terrible (imo), but you can't deny the immense potential (often unexplored/wasted though) of a few characters, KO being one of them.

I'm so glad this show is getting cancelled after Season 3. Knock Out is one of those characters you just want to die a horrible death just to see the crazy-ass fanbase cry.
