Okay, here we go

The last episode of Green Lantern really annoyed me. I've been finding Razer to be a bit of a dick as of late. He rejects Aya because she's a robot, right after he confesses his love to her. Okay, whatever. But then he starts yelling/attacking the others over Aya? Really? I thought it was a little hypocritical, but I was going to just overlook it, since it was pointing towards a 'Man gets over his robot hangup and realizes he truly loves said robot"-But nope. Scar tells them that Aya is actually alive, because she's made from a sliver of Ion's life force. So, yeah, now it's totally okay for Razer to love her!

It really does paint him as kind of a douchebag. /Eh.

It didn't bug me as much, because I'm pretty sure Razer knew by that point that Aya was based on his memories of his wife; if she wasn't "alive", he wouldn't know if Aya was actually her own person, or just based on his wife, (sure, he might realize it eventually, but it would still be a suspicion in the back of his mind), but knowing that she's "alive" means that he knows she is her own person, rather then just being based on his wife.

Only her appearance was, though.

Yes, we know that, but let's be real, if you knew a robot had been able to see your memories enough to model herself off of your memory of her, wouldn't you be a little worried about her also copying other things? Maybe not consciously, but unconsciously, at the least.

That's not the reason why he rejected her. He said he could not love her because she was a machine. He'd known her long enough to know that Aya was Aya, she just had his dead wife's face.

See though, that last bit is actually pretty fucking huge if you think about it.

Well, if that's the reason why he couldn't love her, then being alive wouldn't change anything. Punching Hal in the face sort of implies it has, though.

It's a reason why it's really complicated at least.

Looking your dead loved one in the face of your new girl, and knowing IT IS SPECIFICALLY THE FACE OF YOUR DEAD LOVED ONE, NOT JUST COINCIDENCE would fuck with anybody's head, i think.

True, but it's always going to ber exact face-regardless of whether she's alive or not.

That would be really hard to reconcile. I think a lot more people then razor wouldn't be able to any faster then him, if ever.

It only took him a few episodes to get over it :p

Yes, and their relationship isn't conflicted or weird at all... OH WAIT.

That wasn't my nitpick, so you're kind of going in circles here. He rejected Aya because she was a machine, and never had to get over that. It makes his 'love' seem a bit false to me.
