Just because something is unlikely to happen doesn't mean it can't or won't. I'm sure a lot of unexpected shit is going to go down in the last two books, and people may not end up where we expect. Honestly, I think what annoys me is when anyone insists that EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER is going to suffer a horrible, depressing fate by the end. I know the series' dark nature has almost become memetic at this point, but so many fans blow it out of proportion.

As for Bran, I can't see him becoming part of the "Queensguard" because for one thing I'm not sure Winterfell would necessarily even have one. And secondly, he can't fight, and that's kind of a requirement. But he doesn't have to be dead for her to take the throne. He could just as easily wander off into the woods somewhere and live the rest of his days as a wise hermit-skinchanger-dude. If Bran lives, I highly doubt he will ever become king of anything.
