It's just so telling when male bronies want girls or kids to call themselves something else. You just know how they want to be special and ~different~ from the rest of the fanbase.

One time, a male brony actually told me I had to call myself "target audience" and I was like "excuse me? I'm 23. I'm sure I'm no longer the target audience, broseph"

Call yourself whatever you like. "Brony" isn't an official word anyways, so who the fuck cares if you want to use it for yourself or not?!

I think the term 'brony' chafes me wrong is due to the fact that the terrible, wank causing, asshole male fans who toot their own horn the loudest call themselves that, and basically 'soured' the term for me.

to me, it's become synonymous to 'that asshole male fan'. Which, is sucky, due to the fact there are so many awesome fans out there, and they desrve to use the name (and make it a positive word!)

I used to call myself a pegasister, but then, I said "Eff it, I'm just a fan. I like the show."

I don't get why there have to be special labels, but eh. *shrug*
