It's strange, but I genuinely can't. The fic could easily go both ways, and I just... can't decide. I think you're right about the whole "shippy fics get more hints" thing, but in this particular case it's a pairing a lot of people abhor (it's incest), so I'm not sure it'd apply here.

Ah. Then I'd recommend doing it gen if you want more readers, unless you think the shippy route will be more interesting for you as a writer.
