Re: I don't really know what to call this topic

(This is admittedly my main problem with White Collar. The writers can't come up with any other way to create tension or growth between Peter and Neal - and obviously they can't do a romance for lots of very good reasons, even if it seems like it goes there half the time anyway and it would make lots of people happy - so they hand Neal a Conflict Ball labelled "Can't trust Peter" and then have him whine about how he can't trust Peter. Argh. It was fine the first time, and it made sense the first time, even if it wasn't subtle at all. Now it's annoying.)

I think I used to watch Pokemon. Not enough to remember it well, clearly. My brother and I were big fans of Yu-Gi-Oh, and I remember that I was very saddened by the ending, which was okay even if the rest of the show was extremely contrived. Same with some other Disney shows, Wizards of Waverly Place and that one in the hotel with the twins, whatever it's called.

I'm with you there. Every so often I find something that I watched/read as a kid and inevitably I either wince at younger!me's horrible taste or I end up getting into whatever it was again.

Huh, I never noticed any romantic vibes between Neal and Peter. Their relationship almost seemed more father-son-ish to me, though I don't know the characters' ages so maybe I'm way off on that. 'xD Anyway. (Sorry, I don't feel like I've watched the show enough to have anything to say about your other point.;;)

Ah man, Yu-gi-oh. I used to watch that, too, though I watch long enough to see the ending. Yeah, the plot was super contrived and melodramatic, but the friendship between the main characters still gives me warm fuzzies when I think about it. XD IMO the best part about that show is how my nine-year-old brother and his friends would imitate the characters from the show when they played the card game. Like they would be in the other room playing Duel Monsters and I'd overhear them going "I SUMMON THE BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON IN ATTACK MODE!!!" "NOOOO NOT THE BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON!!!!" "BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON, DESTROY HIS DARK MAGICIAN!!" "NOOOOO! MY LIFE POINTS!" It was hilarious. /coolstorysis again

High five for nostalgia, nonnie.
