I began reading American Comics with Robin, and somehow I started just at the whole Stephanie takes over as Robin/starts the War Games like an idiot storylines. I absolutely can't stand her still.

To be fair, War Games in it's entirety is horrible. And Stephs main role is to get slowly tortured to death, so it's really character assasination.
Alot of other stuff with Steph is, however, quite quality. The batgirl series, her time with Cass, her early issues with Robin... Getting into that gives you a much much better feel for her.

I adore Stephanie Brown, but I still don't get the love for Starling. She always came off as pretty bland to me, and she still does.

Well, as long as we're admitting unpopular DC Ladies opinions, I prefer Barbara Gordon as Batgirl.

She was the Batgirl I grew up with and she'll always be Batgirl to me.

I HATE Stephine. HAAAAATTTE her. I have read Bat comics for years and she is probably the one character I wish would stay dead. Her absence ALMOST makes up for the clusterfuck that the New52 has been. I cannot understand the almost religious devotion this bratty MarySue-ish annoying character has. I just cannot understand it.

But you are right about one thing: Not loving Stephine Brown means you are a bad feminist or a misogynist! Just ask any of her followers! I have tried to explain that disliking a character based on the character and not the character's gender is possible.

I like Starling ok, there has been little character development in the BoP book for me to really care. I do admit that I like her design and style. I want to like this book and the characters, but it has been ... off? I just can't seem to get excited or drawn in.

Oh god, Stephanie. Can't stand her. I used to be indifferent towars her (I'm a Tim Drake fan, she kind of comes up a lot), but I think her fans made me hate her and especially their attitude towards Cass.

I don't know who the one on the right is but I liked Stephanie better as Spoiler. No company really has a good track record with Legacy characters (Especially DC) so I don't see how anyone was surprised they brought back Barbra. She was the only Batgirl used in other media. Not that I really care about Barbra either.
