I got so excited when he showed up in Batman because I got to watch him die again. He may be a good actor, but I fucking hated Owen Harper. That character had no redeeming qualities and I enjoyed watching him die.

No redeeming qualities? So nothing redeeming when he stopped a woman from committing suicide? Or when he helped people as a doctor? Or got passionate about trying to save people and angry when he couldn't save them? Or put himself in harms way to save people? Or when he died to stop a nuclear meltdown which would have killed everyone in Cardiff?

Yeah, he wasn't my favourite character, and was a wanker at times (although after seeing his tragic backstory I was a little more sympathetic to him), but I certainly wouldn't write him off entirely as a character. He did have at least some redeemable qualities, imo.

This is exactly how I felt during The Dark Knight Rises. I actually like Owen in S2, but I despised him in S1. Watching him fall through the ice was just a bit gratifying, but I also echo the OP's sentiment: I got really excited when I recognized him.

Well I do find him attractive, but I get happy seeing him working too! I was very pleased to see him randomly turn up in The Dark Knight Rises.

I have the same reaction! He reminds me of someone nice from my childhood, so just seeing his face makes me happy.

He's called Burn Gorman. IMO he's sort of odd looking, so tends to get character parts, but he is really good.

Talent will out! Burn is an amazing actor and it's awesome that he's getting all these parts, especially considering the abuse his character (and sometimes the actor) took from the Torchwood fandom.

I'm more excited to Spies of Warsaw for him than for David Tennant.
