Have you talked to anyone else about your anorexia? Or did you just mention your depression? It sounds like you've made progress and you should be proud of yourself because that takes courage and effort; I hope you continue making it. Still, one meal a day and little sleep is worrying. Maybe try to gradually change that?

(IDK anything about this specific subject though, so please do research before trying anything. If you haven't talked to a doctor or therapist about your eating disorder, please do. You need some help with this and that's perfectly okay and normal; it doesn't make you weak or anything either, it makes you human.)

Not sure what else to say other than try to take care of yourself and I hope things get better for you in the near future.

I am talking to a counselor at college, although I can only see her for seven sessions/every two weeks during the semester.
I actually didn't believe that I could be depressed or anorexic; I knew something was wrong but I actually had to ask. I thought it wasn't possible that I qualified, I guess you could say. I sat down and almost killed myself before I believed that I should probably go back to counseling. I can't really understand how much food makes a single meal, and I went without food for a few 48 hour stretches before I had to admit that it was a problem.

Thanks, I'm really trying.

It can be hard to accept our problems. No one wants to believe it could happen to them, but these things do happen and to a lot of people. It might take a bit of time for everything to sink in, but I swear you're much better off knowing and accepting it so you can get the help you need and move on.

It's good you took action and decided to see a counselor. I'm glad you have someone to talk with. Since it sounds like you might not feel you see her enough, maybe you should try to find an online support group that deals with these issues? That way if you ever feel that you're slipping or you just need to get something off your chest, you'll have the option. Or you could always come here to do that. Do whatever you need to do to keep yourself safe.

About the food thing...it sounds like a nutritionist might be a good idea, but...again, I'm not sure. Maybe ask your counselor and see if she can refer you to someone who can help, or find you some suitable information.

Yeah. I just didn't think it was that bad.

Its not that I don't think I see her enough, I'm just sort of worried. Towards the start of seeing her, she said it would be better if I had someone to see every week and this morning she told me that the best thing for me would really be to be in a hospital, but neither of those things are possible right now.

I have no way to pay for a nutritionist but I am taking a multivitamin, at least. I'll ask her, though.

:( I really wish I had some useful information for you, but I don't. If you can't see your counselor more often or afford a therapist then what you're already doing is good. It might not be a perfect solution and I hope other opportunities open up to you in the future, but for right now what you're doing is much better than nothing. You might still want to see if there's some sort of online support group or community you could visit though, since you can't see her more often and can't be put in the hospital; maybe they could give you advice on dealing with day to day stuff. Maybe you could ask her about that, too.

Sorry I've been so little help, but again...try to take care of yourself and I hope things work out for you.

oh no don't apologize! I'm just glad I could talk to somebody. With exception of the school counselor, I really don't have anybody to talk to about this.

THanks. C:

Hey, I've been there. Sometimes it's hard to open up and you don't feel you have anywhere to turn.

If you ever want or need to talk about things again, don't be afraid to post. (Or message me directly if you'd like.)
