Re: Problem anon checking in pt 2
(Anonymous) 2013-03-08 01:45 am (UTC)(link)If this helps, I've read that it takes around 66 days for a new routine to become habit. The brain likes routine. It rebels against deviations. That's why it's so damn difficult to stick to new exercise routines, diets, or anything else that takes a daily effort.
(Disclaimer: I am not a nutritionist nor someone qualified to deal with eating disorders. If you get the opportunity to talk to one, do so.)
As for portions, don't worry so much about sizes right now. Try to eat what you can, and try to make it a little bit of everything instead of a lot of just one thing. You'll get more nutrients that way. Try to avoid upsetting foods (spicy food, stuff with acids like lemon juice, greasy food, protein-heavy food late at night). I remember fruits being difficult to absorb at first, so try more... meal-y? stuff like rice, corn, etc. if fruit is upsetting your stomach.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-08 01:56 am (UTC)(link)I have been running but I started running much more than i did and its forcing me to eat more, so that I am eating enough to run. I run three or more days a week and I ran five miles for the first time today!
