Re: Disappointing books - what is yours?
(Anonymous) 2013-03-08 03:30 am (UTC)(link)Granted I didn't expect amazing levels from HG but I thought maybe I'd enjoy it like HP. The first part was interesting, but I just thought the author really dropped the ball making the whole thing about this fake romance between Katniss and Peeta rather than exploring the dystopia for what it was and how it came to be. It's like the author decided to make Katniss the rebel leader just because she was there, literally no reason or rhyme to it.
ASOIAF, however I was expecting to be really awesome because I got into the show a lot, but they were just so boring. I never even got through book 2.
