and how much better would the movie be if Dominic Cooper played Henry like he was in the book? Rather than treating Lincoln as cannon fodder vampire hunter, he actually gave a damn about the man. I loved how the book ended with, "Some people are too interesting to die."

OMG I would have told everyone to go out and see the movie. Henry was a much better character in the book, but again there was so much cut out of the movie because it would have been too long otherwise.

True. But they could have kept Henry's origin story the same. The Croatoan story is way more interesting than the movie's version of Henry being attacked in the middle of the road. That would have added, what maybe ten more minutes to the movie. I would have happily sat through that.

Though I can see why they changed it since The Lost Colony story isn't really well known outside of the US and the other way was more global friendly. And they were going for more of a global pic.

True true, I forgot about the origin story changing. It was supposed to be one of those summer blockbusters, and really, it was a good action movie.
