YES to this. I went into it w/low expectations and came out loving it. The woman was competent (what was her name?! argh!!) and had a character arc! Showed growth during the move from a novice to an actual judge. Actual plot development. No sex scene or fetishising (via camera angles, etc. as is done w/Black Widow in Avengers or the woman in Skyfall)of the woman Judge that I remember. No sneaking in of a "mewling quim" comment type. The villain, played by Lena Headley (?), was competent, scary as hell, and almost got the good guys; she wasn't some stupid airhead playing on her looks. The action was great and didn't bore me to death.

I'm so disappointed there's no fandom for this movie. But, let's face it, there no slash potential in it either (either femslash or slash, unless you want to go for villain/female judge femslash, which is just unbelievable concerning their characters).

This was definitely one of the most enjoyable, least problematic movies I've seen in a long, long time.
