I found out my friend starting writing Omegaverse fics a few weeks ago and it's not really my thing so I had put it out of my mind until just now when I accidentally clicked on my friend's ao3 page when I meant to look at someone else's page and saw my friend's newest story-

A fisting rps

Now I don't have problems with rps as long as I don't go anywhere near them because imagining real people, married real people even more so, having sex squicks me the hell out. But now every time I see my friend I'll be reminded of her self lubricating ass story and her real people fisting story and I CAN'T

I don't want to ignore her but I don't think I can talk to her right now without getting all weirded out and saying something that might piss her off accidentally, because I'd be thinking about the KNOTS and FISTS in ASSES instead of what she's saying

How do I forget what I just learned

I don't know what to tell you, man. I've been desensitized to that shit long ago. I mainly write pretty vanilla things, but I have friends who are into RPS and mpreg and a/b/o and all that shit.

Maybe look up freakier things on the internet until your brain eventually shuts down and nothing freaks you out anymore? IDK.

Think of the most extreme, embarrassing secret kinks and fantasies that you have and the filthiest sexual things you've done, read, written, or fapped to.

Now try to think about how you'd want her to think of and behave towards you if she found out those things about you. You'd probably hope she would just forget what she learned, but that's probably not an option. So what kinds of thoughts and assumptions do you hope she wouldn't make about you based on just those sexual kinks of yours? Why wouldn't you want her to devalue you and her opinion of you based just on those kinks?

Try to keep that in mind, and try to live up to the way you'd like her to treat you if your situations were reversed.

I don't really care if my friend is writing rps, my problem is I won't be able to stop thinking about her stories when I see her and I will be double and triple checking everything I say to her because I don't want to accidentally say something like "fuck not another rps" and make her think I have a hateboner against rps or something because I don't hate it, I just don't want to think about it

But if I take too long to reply to her which will happen, she'll know something is wrong and it'll cause problems and I don't want there to be problems between us and this isn't a deal breaker or anything like I'll stop being her friend because she wrote rps

I don't want this stupid thing to break us apart

I just want to forget she wrote it

honest question, not attack: do you have some form of OCD or anxiety? unwanted thoughts like this that you can't stop aren't normal (surprisingly common, sure, but not what a healthy mind should work like)

if it's an option, please look into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, either on your own or with a therapist

it's about breaking thought patterns like this one so you can function and maintain healthy relationships, which sounds like the underlying problem here, rather than your friends fanfiction forays

Well then, I'd say the best thing is to try to think about everything else about her, all her other interests and traits and hobbies and stuff, and see if you can't kinda get the rps thing to fade into the background amidst all that stuff so that it will seem less important and noticeable, so that you *can* kinda forget about it, or at least stop thinking about it all the time. I'd say just give it time.
