A Sarah Jane Adventures secret! Yay! Incidentally, *did* they ever explain how the Doctor knew what was going to happen in that ep?

If I'm understanding the secret correctly, this is a really sweet idea. Do you mean like, if a timeline actually changed and suddenly, instead of living a long and happy life, Ian and Barbara die in a car crash back in the '70s, he'd feel it and run back to set things straight? Because...y'know...time travel...stuff has already happened...etc...

(Also, OT, but that moment where he crashes the ceremony right at the proper line bellowing at them to stop the wedding and Sarah Jane gives that are-you-fucking-kidding-me-I-swear-to-god-I-will-kill-your-skinny-ass shriek of "DOCTOR???" is among my favorite scenes in all Who-dom :D)

I could see it.

I like this theory a lot.
maverickz3r0: tardis sitting on grassy field with words the world i love (Doctor Who)

...Headcanon accepted.

I'd like to think he would do that too. Some of his companions (River, Martha) have been shown to contact him to get him to come along, and I like to think that's a 'where ARE you already? Weird stuff is happening!' call.

I like this idea. Like, even if it's centuries later for him, he's still ready to protect those spans of a few decades while each of them are alive. But that makes me think that he might know when they should die, or what is fixed, which is seriously depressing.

Also, my love for that episode (and that scene) cannot be overstated. ;)

I really want fic for this episode

The secret reminded me about Sarah Jane's really fucking weird and kind of wonderful relationship with the Doctor and the nature of her meetings with him. Plus, I want to see the fallout of this whole thing. I mean, her fiance did kinda sacrifice himself in front of her. Any recs?

Here you go! For that episode, http://sleepismyfriend.livejournal.com/148868.html
It has a nice side helping of Liz/Brig, too :)

So much good stuff out there though, shippy and non-shippy.
