(Anonymous) 2013-03-11 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)I'm getting less and less interesting in American football these days and I think it's partly because it's such an over-the-top spectacle and so omnipresent. There's something oppressive about that. Especially combined with the violence of the game.
I like that baseball has a slightly more relaxed pace and isn't a massive commercial event the same way. I like that. It's okay if not everyone in the world watches the World Series.
