Buy a steamer if you don't already have one. I can be a very lazy cook, so I end up eating a lot of food without fancying it up, so steamers are pretty handy. Steaming fish seasoned with pepper and onion salt, and throwing in a bunch of frozen vegetables around it is so easy and fast it's ridiculous. Heck, you can flavour the water with a bit of bouillon to steam your food with broth :d

Try to snack in between meals too. When I'm starving and got all the hunger pangs, I turn into a massive idiot and pile on more food than I'll ever need for one meal. Snacks keep your hunger judgement in check (as does drinking water, and taking your time to eat [take 20 minutes at least imo]).

I don't know how you could wean yourself off of pasta other than cutting it out entirely or reducing how much of it you eat :(
Make a fist. Think of that as the max portion size of what you can have of it per day. Make another fist. That's the lean meats and veggies you're going to add to that pasta. oh i don't know

About sports, how about getting it done in small bouts throughout the day. Like crazy ass dancing for 10 minutes. Do crunches or pushups or squats during commercial breaks of things you watch?
