Re: Help losing some weight?
So think of a certain activity that you actually enjoy and figure out a way to meet your target BPM with it. If you can't think of anything, do a bit of research; exercise boredom is a really common problem and some people have come up with some really neat things that you can do at home/by yourself.
I personally recommend interval training. It sounds fancy, but it's not. Basically, you start with a low-intensity exercise for a few minutes, then switch up to minute of high-intensity, before going back down to low-intensity. So for example, power walk for two minutes, and then jog for a minute, then back to power-walking.
The best thing about this kind of system is that you can customize it and it helps you slowly work your way up. I used to be really unfit, so I'd walk for a few minutes with intervals of jogging. Once I was okay with that, I'd do my jogging more frequently. Then I'd start power-walking and jogging, and so on. You have to keep pushing yourself to meet your BMP target, but you can set your own pace so you're not dreading a gruelling workout.
Also? It's quick. Half an hour of interval training a day is plenty.
Hope this helps! ;3
Re: Help losing some weight?
If you have a smart phone, there are SO FREAKING MANY apps that are dedicated to helping lose weight. I personally use fitness ones, and there are interval apps that let you play your music but give you audio cues to switch to your next interval.
Hell, there's a OMG THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING app that gets you in the mood to run.
