Re: Help losing some weight?
(Anonymous) 2013-03-12 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)Echoing the advice on cutting out soda and adding that cutting back on juices also helps. Sugar and artificial sweeteners do a number on your taste buds and make you crave sweeter things more often. My advice is always to drop any and all sugary drinks for one week and just drink water and/or seltzer. That'll detox you and you'll just naturally not be able to handle the sugar intake you could before, which is a big thing when you're trying to lose weight!
As for exercise, do you have access to DDR? (A console that plays it and the ability to get a mat.) My partner haaaaates exercise, but he'll play DDR for hours when he gets into it. I've found that it's hard to get into exercising for the sake of exercising, but if I've got another reason to get off my rear, I'm more likely to do it and keep doing it. If not DDR, then like somebody else said, there are smartphone apps geared toward making exercising more fun/rewarding, if you've got a smartphone. There might be some that can run on a desktop, but I haven't looked into it.
