Sorry I don't know any of these couples but the one, but...I wouldn't say Nana and Ren's relationship is something to strive for. Deep codependance and passive aggressiveness to begin with.

Well, first off, you won't find a nice guy with that attitude. Why not work on improving how you'd view a guy as more than 'what he'd treat you' and think about how you'd treat him? This comes off as really selfish to me.

I don't think it's TOO horrible for OP to want to be "swept off her feet." Always thinking what you can do for him can be troubling too... I think all relationships should be give and take, so it's not bad to think about what he can give you also. I mean, isn't that why people don't start relationships with everyone they encounter?

Yeah, I agree, I just worded it poorly. I guess I just got the impression from this secret that OP wasn't considering that it would be a half them/half her sort of relationship, and not just about sweeping her off her feet. My point is that if you find the right kind of person, being there for them means they'll be there for you, and that kind of romance really can grow and blossom into something beautiful. It may not happen right away, but the things that are worth it are both shared, and worked for.
