Yep. I can sit through an episode and laugh, but then when I turn it off my brain immediately says "THAT SHOW IS HORRIBLE STOP WATCHING"

But then I can't because my mom freaking loves it and watches it all the time.

omg same. i can barely watch a full episode without wanting to walk away but my mom still loves BBT.

That's why I ended up watching so much of it. I'll watch it with her while doing something else, absorb what's happening in the show, but it doesn't usually strike me as terrible until after it's over. Sometimes I'll comment on a glaring flaw, but she's not good at criticizing things she likes.

What the hell is it with moms liking it? Mine's too out of the loop to get the nerd humour, yet loves it.

It gives them a unique insight into the lives of their kids, and we can have a laugh at the antics of the boys on the screen and remember when the boys at home were acting just the same.
