Uh. Where do you live, because that seems a little extreme to me.

AYRT. Northern Europe. I can say that I've never seen anyone out in public in pyjamas, other than in their own front yard.

Ah, okay. In the US it became a trend about a decade ago. It started with college students who just didn't feel like changing when they went to class and was pretty big by the time I got to high school (which was about ten years ago). Granted, most people just wore the pajama pants and had a regular shirt. I think.

Yeah, I'm from Northern Europe, too, and my first reaction to seeing a person wearing pyjamas in public would be to make sure they're not an Alzheimer's patient or something of the sort, because it's just not done, ever. (Like pyjama bottoms, perhaps, but nothing more than that.)

(I've lived in Scotland for a few years now, and haven't seen it done here, either.)
