Oh. Okay. I'll get off the internet until I have ten dollars to throw away. Poor people aren't allowed to do anything but pull on bootstraps until they're not poor!

This is coming from someone who thinks the owner of content absolutely has a right to decide to charge people for access.

I really sympathize with anyone who can't afford the registration fee, but there is no way that's the case with everyone who bitches about the paywall. I really suspect that it's not the case with the majority. I really think the majority of people in fandom could afford the reg fee if they wanted to. So all the bitching about how some people can't afford $10 dollars (although it rightly points out that verusmayai is wrong) is also kind of off-topic, because there's no way that's univerally true for the mass of people who bitch about the paywall.
