Wow. This comment makes me all kinds of sad. Have you tried talking to the boyfriend privately and letting him know that his "funny" jokes might be taking a toll on her self-esteem and health?

They aren't jokes, at least I severely doubt it. I don't care for him much, as he's twenty two and hounded her into an abortion when they found out (After begging her to get pregnant for him for a good half a year) He's accepted it now that he knows the child is a boy. :/ They have barely any baby supplies yet and he spent ninety dollars on a new pair of sneakers recently.

He's pretty shallow himself.

there's only so much you can do for people who aren't asking for/don't want help, but she needs to eat properly or she's likely going to harm her baby, even if it apparently hasn't happened yet. if her shitty ass boyfriend is going to be a douchecanoe about her putting nutrients into her body to sustain both her and their child, then he can fuck off. his comments aren't "jokes", they're abuse, especially since it's clearly having an impact on her mentally and physically, and the longer he does it the more likely she is to keep it up.
