The species of annoyance that has respect for personal presentation. I mean sincerely, do you not know that it is tacky/sloppy/lazy/gives the impression that you don't care at all about your appearance, hygiene, or the environment you're entering into when you wear sleep attire to public places? As a college student it is VERY disrespectful to wear pajamas to class. As an adult it is tacky as hell to wear stained, wrinkly, oversized sweats to work. It's about etiquette. You aren't required to wear June Cleaver pearls and heels to go shopping these days, but ffs at least put on real pants. PRETEND that decorum and human dignity aren't completely dead as concepts. :(

That's such a level of vitriol for something so inconsequential and which surely has no effect whatsoever on you or your day.

"Decorum and human dignity" seems such a, well, hyperbolic level of chagrin. I mean I think low-slung jeans where one's underwear or ass is showing are unpleasant to see, but they obviously have a different meaning for those wearing them, so away with 'em if that's what they want to do.
