Don't think you're being pessimistic, considering there's a high chance of that happening. Especially the cookie-cutter personalities part.

I can see it happening now.

Tallest dude is "Mr. Personality" who's super-perfect-boyfriend material. Blond is your stereotypical uke. Redhead is your over-enthusiastic shounen dumb-arse. And the black-haired guy is Sasuke.
