Do you really think those references will still be so sterling once the manner of resignation comes out?

A polite discussion and handing over of resignation letter to relevant managers, and discussion of my future, yeah? The references which have already been given.

Especially given the central one is a guy I smoke shisha with every other weekend.

You're right though, I'm sure the complaint about swearing from the member of staff who had to be moved into this department because of an inability to work with other people, and an unbelievable number of complaints will make all the change there.

I read your comment yesterday about your job and it sounded like you were in an environment that just wasn't right for you. Best of luck for your future and I hope you find a more suitable workplace for your next job.

You're such a dick to people here. I wondered yesterday if your problems at work are coming from you and you just don't see it. Good luck finding a new job but if you have the same Holier Than Thou attitude at work that you have here, I think your next job isn't going to be any better.

I don't think the way people come off on the internet is necessarily a good measure in how they come across offline. I guess if they only communicated ever with their coworkers via blog comments, I might see why you're quick to assume the worst.

Now I'm really confused - just how many jobs did you quit in the last months? I think I remember posts from last year and there was one in January, it really seems there's basically one of your job-quitting-posts every month (and yeah, it stands out so much that I remembered)

One about six months ago which I was working concurrently alongside the job I was promoted out of in January.

You got a reference after only two months? That's...that's...I would be ashamed to show that, esp. given the circumstances in which you quit.

You acting like a spoiled child and walking out because you can't get along with your coworkers. And didn't you post something a while ago saying that your boss had done an eval and said your lack of empathy and inability to get along with others made you unsuitable for leadership positions?

I'm pretty sure that if I could find that thread it would say something different. IIRC it was that OP* needed to work on their empathy to be a better leader. Nothing about not getting along with people and there were also some rated points in which OP excelled as a leader.

Yes deleting your post after ignoring positive comments and being a douche to people who didn't say congrats is the best way to go about things.

i_o just said that they had resigned from their job after getting a new one (I think some people overlooked that part) and also swore at a coworker when they walked out to hand in their resignation. I can't remember the details but I would have sworn at the coworker even if I wasn't resigning in a few seconds. I can't tell if people were upset about the swearing or that i_o has posted about their job before.

This was the gist, though I don't swear at the co-worker, just expressed my feelings that helping them sort out an issue wasn't high on my list of priorities, in more brusque terms.

I thought the comment ill considered in retrospect, I have been perhaps freer with information about my work life then is sensible, even behind a barrier of of semi-anonymity.

You're right the deleting of posts in generally pretty petty, but the intent wasn't to specifically hide the content from you lot, or any sort of sulk response.

I wish there was a nicer way to say this, but your working life isn't going to get better until you fix your massive attitude problem.

I'm sorry but I just have to ask this: How do prospective employers treat you when you show up for an interview? Do they ever say anything about the high number of long term jobs you left after a short time? Or are your jobs specifically short term so this wouldn't be a warning to them?
