tl;dr GoT is disappointing
(Anonymous) 2013-03-15 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)What the fuck? So far I'm not feeling any of the love that everyone apparently has for this show. The reason I even decided to read the books in the first place was because now there was this "amazing" series that I "had to watch" and I'm the type of person who can't watch a movie without having read the source material first (unless I didn't realize it was based on a novel or something).
Does it start getting better or something? Advise me, anons.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-15 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)I hate how the Dothraki look. I can't stand Dany's actress. ...I could go on.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-16 12:05 am (UTC)(link)So far the show isn't really living up to any of it, but I guess I'll have to see if that holds out to the point where I actually started liking the series.
Re: tl;dr GoT is disappointing
It's less likely for you to like it if you decided to read the books right before watching the series, because you'll end up getting annoyed they aren't making the 1:1 adaptation you have in your head.
Re: tl;dr GoT is disappointing
(Anonymous) 2013-03-16 01:46 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, I've learned that watching adaptations before reading the original books/comics/whatever tends to be better. Like you said, otherwise disappointment ensues.
