Can you please please name-drop some of this BL manga? (The only thing I'm not that into is manga where 100% of the pages are straight-up porn.) I know there's supposed to be loads of BL where protagonists *aren't* teenage bishies but I never, ever seem to find any.

FAKE. older dudes, plenty of plot, and in fact they don't have sex until the end of the series.

Gladly! It depends on how old you want them, if you want both characters to be older or just one of them, and whether or not you only want stuff that's been scanlated -- but here's a few off the top of my head:

For starters, Naono Bora and Nishida Higashi veeery often have older characters in their works. Ono Natsume, Yamada Yugi, Uchida Kaoru, Suzuki Tsuta, Ike Reibun, Yoshinaga Fumi, and Hidaka Shoko as well.

(Sorry that it's mangaka instead of actual manga titles, but I was juuust about to go to bed when I saw your reply. If you want more specific recommendations -- or just more in general -- lemme know and I'll return tomorrow!)

Thanks a lot, you've made me so happy!
I'm not really that specific about the ages of the characters, just really craving for stories that don't revolve around people who are still in hs/college. I think all of the mangakas above are new to me, except for Naono Bohra (I adore her stories, she has some really unique ideas) and Natsume Ono (one of my favorite mangakas). I can't read japanese and am totally of out of the loop when it comes to manga fandoms, so I probably miss everything except the newest and most hyped stuff, which often is also the most boring and formulaic. If you can list more, please do - I'm probably interested in everything! But no obligation.
