Re: Mom in surgery tomorrow
I don't think it's selfish! You want to help your mother and came in her time of need (which is commendable), but taking care of anyone constantly (especially if you aren't used to it) is taxing. At least it sounds like she's doing well despite the leg? It's good that she hasn't been frustrated or bored, but it'll be nice when things are back to normal for both of you.
I haven't really talked with another living person standing in front of me for two weeks now. :\
