I have no idea about Due South, but I know for a fact that Mulder/SKully far, far outweighed any of those other ships. OP is probably talking in thta sense, as in like Sterek of TW. That ship is so huge people hear about it before the show itself, even though there are other ships, it pretty much defines the fandom. Same with Mulder/Skully.
