hmph, well, to be fair, if I'm reading this right and you are writing a Sephiroth-centric fic, there is a lot of room to explore on what his character was. we just know that he was strong, aloof, kind of cold, proud/arrogant, but cared about his friends aaannnnd that was it? and then he went crazy

so there are at least a few directions you could go in with his character and not make him totally ooc

plus, the millions of fangirls... yeah, I can see why it got so much attention

that said, you could take advantage of the situation! ask for constructive criticism, and who knows, you might get good tips to improve your writing

compare what you are writing to the writing of those you admire

use the feedback and praise to motivate yourself to get going! no reason not to enjoy this while it lasts!

I think OP was just using him as one example of a "sexaay" and "OMG misunderstood" villain. I don't recognize the other two, but Loki definately fits that.

Your point stands for any villain like that though, and I'll have to keep your advice in mind myself.
