Late reply, but yeah, it's the same with me. PMD2 affected me way more than I expected it to, and I replay it often. Similarly, I hope that PMD3 is good... but am worried it won't be, hence the secret. :/

PMD2 is so much better than it has any right to be. I should not have a tear jar for a Pokemon game. I also probably shouldn't have bought a 3DS just for it's dopey sequel.

Have you played the demo, OP? Lots of people seem to be liking it! though, to be honest, i'm mostly just concerned with how the story plays out, so it didn't do much to assuage my fears. take my sweet tears, pokemon. ;o;
