Come to think of it, where do men grow hair that women don't? I have female friends with more facial hair than some asian guys I know, and I certainly grow more underarm hair than my boyfriend. Maybe back hair? Don't think I've heard of a woman with back hair, but then since all body hair on women is treated like a deadly secret who knows...

I had a female friend with some pretty serious back hair in middle school.

I've seen a little girl with body hair pretty much everywhere. Particular ethnicities are rather more hirsute than others, and there's no limit to where it can grow, man or woman. Mammals are mammals :P

I've had a "treasure trail" (bonus treasure- it also ends in my cleavage!) my whole life, and I mentally battle with myself every summer to leave it be.

I think body hair does keep on changing after puberty, so I wouldn't worry too much? My pubic hair territory is continuously and asymmetrically expanding.

Except I also have irregular periods (once to the tune of five months without shark week, which was awesome but weird in the "I am going to die a virgin why am I being spared the Red Death" way), and the expanding hair was accompanied/heralded by a rapidly expanding waistline despite sudden depression doing a number on my appetite/ability to keep anything solid down and my living situation at the time requiring me to exercise more than I've ever done in my life before or since.
I've always had hairy legs and arms and scary pubic hair and stuff but in my early twenties I suddenly also had a dark brown beard and mustache (complete with neckbeard), a black happy trail, and black chest hair/hairy boobs. Nothing like an ingrown boob hair for simultaneous ouch and ugh. The hair on my head is still blonde. I now resemble the unfortunate offspring of Bilbo Baggins and Cousin It, with possibly some distant yeti cousins. On the bright side, if I could get away with being barefoot at Comic-Con, I would rock a hobbit costume. (Hairy feet and toes, woo-hoo!)

Why a mental battle? I mean, I'm a guy for whom all this hair is perfectly acceptable, and I still shave it down in the summer just because hey, I don't want to hold in heat at the moment.

Do it if you want, don't if you don't.

It's a genetic thing, and possibly a race thing? I know a lot of Hispanic women who have stomach hair/back hair, because that just seems to come with the genes. :/

I'm really late to the party here, but I lost the genetic lottery and I am a hairy woman. I have back hair, a happy trail, facial hair, plenty of hair around the genital region and under the armpits... and I also have to shave my chest. The hair is generally not as thick as it would be on a hirsute man, but plenty enough to be very noticeable if I don't deal with it regularly.

I am not Hispanic or any other genetically hirsute ethnicity.

I felt like my ass was never clean lately despite generous use of toilet paper, soap and water in the shower, and playtex wet wipes, so I decided to take a look in the mirror to see if there were any, um, leftovers there. instead, shock of my life, there was hair.
