Congrats OP!! I hope you learn how to drive stick shift better than me. I was in high school and my cousin would let me and my friends practice with his car during lunch, and I ALWAYS killed the car when I stopped it. Since then I haven't really tried learning again, though I want to.

A friend of mine got a stick shift as her first car so she taught herself how to drive stick shift. She has an automatic now, and she says she definitely prefers manual.
