hehehe
It took me frakking forever to learn the difference between them. There's the caffe macchiato, which is espresso with a teeny bit of milk or foam, and the latte macchiato, which is steamed milk with a teeny bit of espresso (but not as much espresso as a caffe latte. CONFUSION, MUCH??). Around where I am (Pa, USA), people use macchiato when they want the latte macchiato. I actually can't remember someone who ordered a caffe macchiato and wanted an actual caffe macchiato.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-19 03:13 am (UTC)(link)The worst, though, is when people walk into a coffee shop that isn't Tim Hortons (hi, Canadian here!) and order an "ice capp." Just... There are so many facets of confusion there, it's kind of horrifying.
