4. Crazy fucks are the best.

14 & 17: The juxtaposition makes me happy inside.

20. Every time someone thinks about FF7 characters without ever having played the game, Tetsuya Nomura gives someone another unnecessary belt.

Really, I don't understand how people can do things the wrong way around. Isn't the whole point of a fandom that it's something you're involved in because you love a game/show/book etc? Not having played/watched/read it in the first place seems to be missing a pretty important step.

24. Fandom's a place to go LOL INVISIBLE BUTTSEX with people in. It's not that scary. (Well, the Death Note fandom might be. I don't know.)

25. I had a very hard time figuring out Integra's gender, too. I love her a little more because of it.

26. Whoever they are, tell them! It's not creepy to like someone's work. If you like it from the bushes outside their window, then it's creepy.

30. Aww, that's sweet. Besides, the world always needs more slash.

Babies, please?

The best part is how he's added belts to the original FFVII designs. Nothing is sacred! Nothing is safe from his tyranny of belts that are holding nothing up!

I still think he's like Rob Liefeld, only Nomura knows anatomy better and instead of big guns and unnecessary pouches and shoulder pads, he adds big swords and unnecessary belts and zippers.

I actually like Nomura's art (now, that is - his old FFVII designs make Liefeld's anatomy look good xP), but his belts, zippers, chains, and giant sword fetish is pretty wtf to me. I don't know why he seems to think that good design requires the same sorts of accessories repeated in large numbers.

I actually do like some of Nomura's art, really. I loved his stuff for 'The Bouncer' -which I think is where this whole zipper/belt/chain fetish thing began- and 'Parasite Eve', but I question his constant reuse of designs.

But I will admit he can draw well. I just wish he'd expand his horizons and draw more characters like Barret (i.e. larger builds) and less near-androgynous men, but eh, whatever. XD

FWIW though, I did like his designs for Vivi and Setzer in KHII.
