OP, why don't you try making your own community? If you don't like the way that one is run, you can make your own forum and run it the way you'd like it. (Apologies if this comes off as snappy, it's hard to simulate tone of voice online)

You never know, other members may follow you. In that case, you can all have the "fun" forum you want and do whatever you'd like.
