Re: Is the risk of serious/permanent injury worth doing something you love?
I mean, if it's someone at the end of their career who for some reason has to make a choice between retiring immediately and coming back too soon after their injury for one last hurrah, then I can see it being worth the risk. But if you have years of dancing ahead of you and you want to risk re-injuring yourself and cutting those years short just because you can't wait a few more months, then no, it's absolutely not worth it. If you really love doing something, why wouldn't you do everything in your power to make sure you can keep at it for as long as possible?
