I'm the same way; I don't really want kids at all, but men who are great with kids just melt my heart. (They paired my fave character on Boardwalk Empire with an adorable moppet through most of this past season, and I would've thought it'd be incredibly annoying, but it was actually the most delightful thing basically EVER.) I guess it's partially because it's not extremely common on TV and stuff--parenting/working with kids is still kinda seen as a 'woman's job' and men aren't supposed to be too sensitive, etc, whatever. So seeing a dude who doesn't care about that is just extra heartwarming.
