Re: Is the risk of serious/permanent injury worth doing something you love?

It's easy to say it's worth it when you're young, the injuries aren't that bad and you can still do what you love so that it feels worthwhile. When you're old enough and injured enough where you're forced to stop dancing, well... how old do you think that will be? 40? 45? And just how many decades will you have to live with the permanent injuries inflicted by a hobby you can no longer participate in? Never mind dancing: imagine a future where walking is an exercise in pain.

Ask someone who suffers from chronic pain how much they'd give up to not feel that way every single moment of their lives.
