It depends what you want. I hear the Arizona Inn is really nice, but very expensive. There's a Marriot right next to the airport. There's also one that's near the university (and pretty close to city center). I kind of like the DoubleTree near Reid Park - it's not that far from El Con Mall. There are several hotels in the Williams Center which not far from Park Place Mall. A lot of the resort type places are in the foothills and can be pricey, but they are really nice. And it should be pretty nice this weekend, forcasts have it in the mid 70s (this past weekend was high 80s).

And may I suggest Baggin's for sandwiches/lunch? And El Corral Steakhouse for dinner.
