All the talk about this app is really making me want to try it out, only I really hate running. Not because of laziness or anything, but because I screwed up my knees in high school doing track and field every year.

Does anyone know if it works with bicycles/if there's a bike version?

It should work on a bike, because you don't HAVE to run. You can turn on zombie chases that require you to speed up, but you don't have to it's more about time (and, if you have a smartphone with GPS, distance) than steps. I once left it on in my pocket during the school day (when I mostly stationary) and collected a shit-ton of items.

You could totally use it on a bike. It basically works by interspersing bits of narrative about your missions between songs on your playlist, so it works for any kind of work out that you would generally do to music.

The zombie chases are an extra feature - you can set it so that during songs you may be chased and have to pick up your speed in order to get away without dying. That part works from either the accelerometer or the GPS. If you're out cycling rather than on an exercise bike, I don't see why the GPS function wouldn't work just the same as for running, but I've not tried it.

I think it could work on a bike. You don't HAVE to run while using this app; I usually just walk around listening to the audio and only jog if the story tells me to (it has Story Mode). It also has a feature that allows you to disable the zombie chases so you can instead let the app play music.

It does work with a bike! I do it everyday, the calorie count does get a little warped but I just half it and go with that.
