My feeling about Terry Pratchett is that he's the fantasy equivalent of PG Wodehouse. He is a delightful, lovable writer of incredibly funny, light, humorous fiction that's intelligent and likable. It's not a slight on PG Wodehouse to say that he wasn't perfect or that he wasn't a genius or that all his books are light comedy; nor should it be an insult for Pratchett. And it's frankly true - he's not. No slur on the man.

I don't know Woodhouse other than from TV adaptations but I don't know you can class something like Reaper Man as merely 'light comedy'.
