This is so CUTE jdjdlksfh
...in fact, I don't know. At different points I had two catfamilies, four kittens each, and they never seemed to be intent on licking things. They sniffed and looked. Perhaps there's some tasty smell on your floor and your things? Have you by any chance smeared your quarters with a herring?

I don't think there's anything they could be smelling, it was cleaned no too long before they arrived there, but a cat's senses are probably better than mine so that's possible. Definitely not herring though, I've only ever had haddock, pollock and salmon in the house.
