I'll have to disagree then - at least about liking their other works better. I think they actually ended up balancing each other out writing wise. Prachett has always been a little too over-the-top, bright color distinction between everything for me, and Gaiman is...A little dark, as last what I've read is, for my tastes.

So, together they ended up hitting pretty close to the sweet spot for my tastes. -shrugs-
